I am often looking for events for my clients and their children where being their most real selves is welcomed, not inhibited. I was a member of the Kindtree - Autism Rocks! Board of Directors for a year and was very impressed with their inclusiveness and focus on FUN. If you live in Lane County, there are many opportunities to play! They have the STiLE Program (Skills Training for an Independent living Experience program), a wonderful educational program for adults with autism and others with developmental/intellectual disabilities. In May, there is a WONDERFUL dance event, that is open to all ages and this year it is called "Dance Like Nobody's Watching". I was the photographer at the event for two years and I had an absolute blast! Another big favorite is the autism friendly yearly camping event. This year the Autism Rocks Friends and Family Camp will be held at Baker Boy Scout Camp, August 23-26, 2018.
